The Microsoft Hyperlapse super-stable and smooth video recording technology that was unveiled last year, has this week be made available for PC systems and smartphones.
Microsoft Hyperlapse consists of a set of products that have been created to automatically smooth, stabilised time lapses from first-person video cameras and mobile devices. Watch the demo video below to see it in action.
Microsoft has released three products in the form of Microsoft Hyperlapse Mobile, Microsoft Hyperlapse Pro and Hyperlapse for Azure Media Services. The third allows developers to integrate hyperlapse options into websites and applications. Microsoft explains :
“For consumers, Microsoft Hyperlapse Mobile offers the chance to turn any long video – from a bumpy bicycle ride to a family stroll in the park — into a short, distilled version that you can easily share with friends and family.
That technology, which is available for Windows Phone and in preview for some Android phone models, will come as a welcome relief to anyone who’s ever sat uncomfortably through a real-time video documenting those types of excursions.”
